Sustainable Development
The program offers a minor in sustainable development. The minor is comprised of ECONS 326, one course from each of the following four aspect areas: policy, history, and theory (ENVR SCI 335 [M], HISTORY 409, 494, NATRS 438, PHIL 370, POL S 430, or PSYCH 466); environmental (ARCH 490, 494, BIOLOGY 330, 372 [M], CE 401, CROP SCI 360, ENVR SCI 101, 285, 444, GEOLOGY 303 or NATRS 300); social/cultural (ANTH 203, 309, ANTH/SOC 418, NATRS 312, SOC 331, 332, 415, 430, WOMEN ST 332, or WOMEN ST 460); economic (ECONS 330, 427, 428, 430, 431, I BUS 380, or I BUS 496); and one additional course from any of the aspect areas. The minor requires 18 credit hours, with at least 9 hours at the 300-400 level taken in residence at WSU or through WSU-approved education abroad or educational exchange courses. All coursework for the minor must be graded and a minimum GPA of 2.0 shall be maintained. Students wishing to apply for the minor may do so with the School of Economic Sciences.
