Bachelor of Arts in Music (120 Credits)
This four-year program is designed to meet the needs of students wishing a broad liberal arts background with a major in music. Of the total 120 credits required for a degree in this program, 50 credits are in music and 70 credits are devoted to courses outside music, including the University Common Requirements (UCOREs). Non-music courses other than those used for the UCOREs must be at the 200-level or above. 40 credits of the 120 required for the degree must be in 300-400-level. Other requirements include: achieve a cumulative 2.5 GPA and a grade of C or better in all music classes; senior qualifying exam; piano proficiency exam or grade of C or better in MUS 182.
